Luxury car hire in Manilva
Manilva marks the end of Málaga province, with muscat vineyards on the slopes and the La Duquesa marina below. It is the least built-up part of the western coast and the most car-dependent.
Why a car makes sense here
Vineyards and bodegas
The muscat vineyards climb from the sea; the wineries sit on rural tracks with no transport.
La Duquesa marina
The port holds the restaurants and moorings, four kilometres from the old town.
On the Cádiz border
Sotogrande is ten minutes away and Gibraltar half an hour, making Manilva a good western base.
Good to know
Three centres that work as one
Manilva village sits above, Sabinillas below by the sea, and Puerto de la Duquesa in between. Five minutes by car separates them and there is no comfortable walking link.
The vineyards start right behind
Manilva is moscatel country and the bodegas sit on rural lanes with no public transport. Ten minutes by car; without one, you simply do not get there.
The westernmost point of our coverage
From here Sotogrande is ten minutes away and Estepona twenty. It is an inexpensive base for the far west of the province.
Which car suits best
Long motorway distances: Mercedes GLS, BMW X7 or Audi RS Q8 are the most comfortable.

Frequently asked questions
Do you deliver to Manilva and Puerto de la Duquesa?
Yes, to all three centres: the village, Sabinillas and La Duquesa, plus the coastal urbanisations.
How long is the drive from Málaga airport?
Around an hour on the AP-7. It is the furthest west point of our usual area.
Is there a delivery surcharge?
Yes, it is outside the free axis. We work it out at booking and tell you the exact amount before charging anything.
Which car do you recommend here?
A comfortable long-distance one. Distances are greater than in Marbella and more of the driving is motorway: a saloon or a large SUV suits.
Can I visit the bodegas in the rental car?
Getting there is no problem, but if you are tasting, someone sober must drive. Drink-driving penalties in Spain are severe and void the insurance.
How many days is it worth renting?
Here a week or more almost always pays: the rate drops a tier and the distances mean you use the car every day.
