Luxury car hire in Benalmádena
Benalmádena is split across three levels — coast, Arroyo de la Miel and the old village on the hillside — and that geography shapes everything. What looks like one town on the map is three separate centres with kilometres and a serious height difference between them, which catches out anyone arriving without a car.
Why a car makes sense here
Three centres, one municipality
From Puerto Marina up to the village is a steady climb of nearly two hundred metres. Ten minutes by car; half an evening on foot or waiting for a bus.
Close to the airport
One of the best-placed areas for late arrivals: twenty minutes from the terminal on the A-7. We hand the car over in arrivals and you drive straight to your accommodation.
Puerto Marina
The marina complex has its own parking and concentrates the nightlife. Torremolinos is five minutes away, Fuengirola fifteen.
Good to know
Three villages at three heights
Benalmádena Pueblo sits at the top, Arroyo de la Miel in the middle and the Costa below. Four kilometres of continuous descent separate the village from the beach: not a walk, seven minutes by car.
Puerto Marina has parking, but it fills
The marina car park saturates on summer weekends from midday. The sensible alternative is leaving the car in Arroyo de la Miel and heading down, or arriving before noon.
Twenty minutes from the airport
After Torremolinos it is the closest point on the Costa del Sol to AGP: twenty minutes on the toll-free A-7. Handy if you land on a late flight.
An SUV for the gradient, not the mud
Between Benalmádena Pueblo and the coast lie four kilometres of continuous descent with tight bends. An SUV handles it more easily than a low car — not for the terrain but for the visibility.
Luxury cars twenty minutes from the plane
After Torremolinos it is the closest point on the coast to the airport. For a short weekend with a good car, it saves nearly an hour of transfer compared with Estepona.
Which car suits best
Use here is mixed, town and coast. The Mercedes GLC, Audi SQ5 and BMW X5 are common; for couples, the Mercedes C Cabrio makes the most of the coastal run.

Frequently asked questions
Where do you deliver in Benalmádena?
In any of the three areas: the village, Arroyo de la Miel or the coast, Puerto Marina included. We just need the address and the time.
How long is the drive from Málaga airport?
About twenty minutes on the A-7. It is one of the shortest runs on the coast; even in August it rarely passes half an hour.
Which car works between the village and the beach?
Anything with good visibility. The descent from the village has tight bends and the old streets are narrow: a compact SUV is the easiest.
Can I park at Puerto Marina?
Yes, it has its own car park, but on summer weekends it fills by midday. Arriving early, or parking in Arroyo de la Miel, saves the loop.
Is it a good base for exploring the coast?
Yes: Málaga is twenty minutes east and Marbella forty minutes west. With a car it works well as a midpoint.
What do I need to collect the car?
A licence held two years, ID, and the driver's credit card. Minimum age 25; handover takes about ten minutes.
Do you hire SUVs in Benalmádena?
Yes, all eleven in the fleet. We deliver in the village, in Arroyo de la Miel and on the coast, Puerto Marina included.
What does a luxury car cost in Benalmádena?
From €60/day on long rentals and from €120 for one or two days. We confirm the delivery cost when you book.
